Jude Law hurls Oranges

November 20th, 2009

Actor and heartthrob Jude Law hurled oranges at an unwanted audience peeking on his exercise routine on his New York balcony, the New York Post reported Friday.

The actor, currently playing the lead in “Hamlet” on Broadway, has unintentionally been giving performances of a different sort to New York University students whose residence overlooks his Manhattan digs.

Star-struck students crammed up against windows to watch the British actor work out with a personal trainer and play with his son, the paper reported.

A fed-up Law responded by hurling oranges, the Post quotes NYU freshman Neha Najeeb as saying.

“He missed,” she said, but went back for more. “This time, he hit the windows. There was orange pulp on the glass for a week.”

Judge dismisses Miley Cyrus ’slant eyes’ suit

November 20th, 2009

A Los Angeles judge on Friday dismissed a lawsuit against Miley Cyrus which accused the teen icon of discriminating against Asians after she was photographed making “slant eyes.”

Lucie Kim sued the “Hannah Montana” star in February after a photo emerged of Cyrus and friends slanting their eyes, supposedly trying to make themselves appear Asian, according to court papers.

Kim’s lawyer sued Cyrus, 16, under a statute that prohibits businesses from discriminating against minorities.

Kim claimed the Disney star “should have known that her image would be publicly disseminated via the media, which focuses on her private life.”

Tila Tequila Naked and Ranting

November 20th, 2009

Was Tila on tequila? Or just in need of serious help?

Days after filing a $1.5 million lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, NFL star Shawne Merriman, for battery and false imprisonment, reality show star Tila Tequila had a bizarre, off-the-wall meltdown Thursday on her live webpage page.

According to sources, the petite model stripped naked, danced around in the nude and rambled on about a variety of subjects. Among those topics was Merriman, who she claims choked, shoved and humiliated her for her bisexuality during a heated argument in September.

At one point in the Webcast that reportedly lasted several hours, Tequila said that “People call me an attention whore … or whatever … but excuse me, I’m a grown a– woman and I’m confident in myself … I think a woman’s body is a beautiful thing … that’s why I’m a lesbian … I was born naked … anybody who is against that is gay and in denial.”

Mike Tyson in scuffle at LA airport

November 12th, 2009

Iron Mike Tyson and a photographer are being investigated for misdemeanor battery after an airport scuffle that injured the paparazzo, police said Thursday.

Tyson and Tony Echeverria, 50, made citizens’ arrests of each other after a confrontation at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport, airport police Sgt. Jim Holcomb.

Police were called and they were fingerprinted and photographed, then released without bail, Holcomb said. The city attorney will decide whether to file criminal charges.

Echeverria, who described himself as a freelance photographer, told police that Tyson struck him once. The photographer fell to the ground and was treated for a cut to his forehead at a hospital.

Tyson had stopped at LAX while traveling from Europe to Las Vegas when several photographers began snapping him near a ticket counter, Holcomb said.

Tyson’s spokeswoman Tammy Brook said the boxer was traveling with his wife and 10-month-old child when he was attacked by an overly aggressive paparazzo.

Lindsay Lohan tie up with Ungaro ‘a disaster’

November 10th, 2009

Hollywood bad girl Lindsay Lohan’s first collection as artistic advisor for Emanuel Ungaro was a “disaster”, the founder of the French couture house said here, local press reported.

“Lindsay Lohan’s collaboration was a disaster,” the designer said during a meeting on Monday night with the public at the international film festival in Estoril, near Lisbon.

“I am furious but I can’t do anything about it,” fumed the designer, who emphasised that he no longer had any contact with the house which bears his name since he left in 2005. The house now belongs to an American investment company.

Lohan, 23, whose drug habits and drink-driving conviction turned her into paparazzi fodder and wreaked havoc with her acting career, was named official muse to the prestigious house alongside Spanish designer Estrella Archs in September.

Their first catwalk collection together unveiled in Paris in October was panned by the international fashion press.

Ungaro said he regretted that the fashion house he started “is in the process of losing its soul.”

“That happens to a lot of designers. We were the creators and patrons, responsible for the creation and destiny of our houses. But when we gave up our houses, we gave up our souls.”

Ungaro has seen a merry-go-round of chief designers come and go since Emanuel Ungaro hung up his scissors.

Steven Tyler leaves Aerosmith?

November 10th, 2009

Joe Perry, the lead guitarist with one of America’s most successful rock groups - Aerosmith said on Monday that he and his bandmates were “positively looking for a new singer to work with,” following a rift with energetic frontman Steven Tyler.

Perry, made the announcement on his Twitter page, ratcheting up an unusually public feud with his songwriting partner of 40 years.

The duo, dubbed the “Toxic Twins” for their hard-living days of yore, wrote such classic-rock staples as “Walk this Way” and “Love in an Elevator.” Their musical relationship has been likened to that of their role models, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones.

But Tyler, 61, recently said he wants to concentrate on solo endeavors, a claim he has made in the past but never followed through on. He also stopped communicating with the rest of the band several months ago, and hired his own manager.

Perry stated last month that Tyler has refused to write a song with him for a decade. More recently, Perry said that the last time he phoned Tyler, the singer hung up on him.

Incredibly, the band has still managed to perform concerts, but a summer trek through North America was cut short in August when Tyler fell off the stage and broke his shoulder. None of his bandmates accompanied him to the hospital.

Timberlake granted restraining order against stalker

November 10th, 2009

A judge on Monday ordered a woman to stay away from Justin Timberlake for the next three years.

Timberlake wrote in court filings that Karen McNeil repeatedly showed up at his house and trespassed on his property last month.

Karen McNeil, who represented herself in the case, opposed the court order, writing in a court document that she thought she was destined to marry Timberlake and “to rule” with him.

During the hearing, Judge David S. Cunningham III ordered a five-minute recess after an outburst by McNeil when the judge issued the order.

Outside court, McNeil said, “That was all lies. I did not break into Justin’s house. I was let on the property.”

Ummmm….ok.
