Benji Madden Gets Dumped
The other brother from “rock band” Good Charolette (not the one with Nicole Richie, the other one) seems to be single again after his model/singer fiance hit the bricks. In the wake of increasing trouble-in-paradise-type speculation for the other Madden brother and Australian singer-actress Sophie Monk, her rep has confirmed that the formerly betrothed twosome has un-coupled.
“Sophie and Benji have officially split,” Monk’s Sydney-based agent told the Daily Telegraph. “The decision was mutual and they remain amicable. This will be my only statement regarding this matter.”
Reports of a rift between the two began around the holidays, when Monk canceled an appearance at an Australian event at the last minute. Late last month, Monk, who got her start on Australia’s Idol-esque reality-competition show “Popstars” before appearing in the films and on HBO’s Entourage, was photographed in LA without her engagement ring.
She has since returned Australia.
