‘Lost’ star says stripper story ‘is not true’

Just as scandal-weary readers had a chance to completely forget that “Lost” star Matthew Fox was accused of cheating on his wife sometime after the Tiger Woods shocker but before Jesse James’ big reveal, Fox addressed the old rumor in a new interview with Playboy magazine.

When asked about his rumoured romance with stripper Stefani Talbott, the actor insisted, “The story is not true,” before refusing to comment further on it.

“The subject of fidelity is very personal,” Fox said. “People definitely come after you for all kinds of crazy reasons, but I’ve always been fairly suspicious of people.”

As for his relationship with wife Margherita Ronchi, Fox stressed that he and the former model have a good thing going.

“Margherita and I have been best friends and best lovers,” Fox told the magazine. “She’s the love of my life. We have managed to both be intensely independent and maintain that strength in our relationship. I am a man, and I am an appreciator of women. At the same time, Margherita is the s—. I can honestly say we’re good together. We’ve been together for 23 years, so let’s leave it at that.”
