Vince Neil Begins Prison Sentence
Best known for his glam-rock stagewear, Vince Neil appears somber and spectacled in his new mug shot.
The Motley Crue singer checked himself into the Clark County Detention Center on Tuesday to begin serving a two-week sentence for DUI, according to TMZ.
Neil, who celebrated his 50th birthday last week, took a plea deal on Jan. 26 that calls for two weeks of jail time followed by two weeks of house arrest, for driving drunk last summer near the Las Vegas Strip.
Police had stopped Neil in his black Lamborghini after he left the Las Vegas Hilton, where he owns a bar. After he was taken into custody, tests revealed his blood alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.
The rocker could have faced up to six months in jail if he was convicted at trial.
