DMX Busted Again and Again

DMX can run, but he can’t hide from trouble. Especially if he walks right up to it and demands it kick his ass.

The rapper, who’s currently facing animal-cruelty charges in Arizona, was arrested Friday afternoon in Miami after he allegedly tried to buy drugs from an undercover cop.

According to the police report obtained by the Miami Herald, DMX approached the officer and asked for ”30 powder and 15 weed,” aka $30 worth of cocaine and $15 of marijuana.

The officer slapped the cuffs on the Cradle 2 the Grave star, whose real name is Earl Simmons, after he handed him $45.

Authorities said that they have not released the exact location where the bust took place because undercover officers are still operating in the area.

As of Friday evening, DMX was cooling his heels in Miami-Dade County jail.

And it turns out that this was his second bust of the week. Miami police also nabbed him Monday for driving with a suspended license. He was taken into custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and released a few hours later after posting $500 bail.

Back in Arizona, the beleaguered MC has pleaded not guilty to 11 counts of animal cruelty and drug possession stemming from two raids at his Phoenix-area home in which SWAT teams found marijuana and a number of pit bull puppies that required immediate veterinary care for malnutrition and dehydration.

Judge Halts Release of Verne Troyer Sex Tape

Verne Troyer successfully shut down the distribution of a sex tape featuring the “Austin Powers” actor and a former girlfriend — for now.The celebrity Web site TMZ posted a 25-second snipped of the video Wednesday, but pulled the clips down Friday evening after a federal judge granted a temporary restraining order requested by Troyer’s attorneys. The ruling also prevents any attempt by a porn distributor from taking orders for the full 50-minute video, and keeps TMZ from broadcasting any more clips. Troyer’s lawsuit also seeks $20 million in damages and the return of all copies of the tape.

Troyer, most famous for his role as “Mini Me” in two of the “Austin Powers” movies, claims the sex tape he made with a former girlfriend, which he never intended to become public, was stolen from his home some months ago.

Oh Verne….if you don’t want your sex tape to get out…then don’t feature Mike Meyers!

Comedian George Carlin Dies at 71

Dying Is Hard. Comedy Is Harder.

The honest truth is, for a comedian, even death is just a premise to make jokes about. I know this because I was on the phone with George Carlin nine days ago and we were making some death jokes. We were talking about Tim Russert and Bo Diddley and George said: “I feel safe for a while. There will probably be a break before they come after the next one. I always like to fly on an airline right after they’ve had a crash. It improves your odds.” I called him to compliment him on his most recent special on HBO.

Seventy years old and he cranks out another hour of great new stuff. He was in a hotel room in Las Vegas getting ready for his show. He was a monster. You could certainly say that George downright invented modern American stand-up comedy in many ways. Every comedian does a little George. I couldn’t even count the number of times I’ve been standing around with some comedians and someone talks about some idea for a joke and another comedian would say, “Carlin does it.” I’ve heard it my whole career: “Carlin does it,” “Carlin already did it,” “Carlin did it eight years ago.”

And he didn’t just “do” it. He worked over an idea like a diamond cutter with facets and angles and refractions of light. He made you sorry you ever thought you wanted to be a comedian. He was like a train hobo with a chicken bone. When he was done there was nothing left for anybody. But his brilliance fathered dozens of great comedians.

I personally never cared about “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television,” or “FM & AM.” To me, everything he did just had this gleaming wonderful precision and originality. I became obsessed with him in the ’60s. As a kid it seemed like the whole world was funny because of George Carlin. His performing voice, even laced with profanity, always sounded as if he were trying to amuse a child. It was like the naughtiest, most fun grown-up you ever met was reading you a bedtime story. I know George didn’t believe in heaven or hell. Like death, they were just more comedy premises. And it just makes me even sadder to think that when I reach my own end, whatever tumbling cataclysmic vortex of existence I’m spinning through, in that moment I will still have to think, “Carlin already did it.”

George was the best and we at BUSTED are thankful for his honesty, bravery, and talent.

I guess the best thing we can say upon this moment would be….”Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Cocksucker, Motherfucker, Tits“…. farewell. And thank you.

Cher Deals With Crazy Fan

He didn’t get you, babe. And that’s a good thing.An apparently drunken fan who harassed Cher at a famed Nashville honky-tonk was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication early this morning.

Nashville police said 36-year-old Calvin Hutton Houghland approached the iconic songstress at Tootsies Orchid Lounge, believing he might strike up a conversation with her. But Houghland got the brush-off as club management asked him to leave the nightspot.

Seemingly undeterred, he returned a short while later, according to police, sneaking into the VIP section of the lounge, where he saddled up to Cher and grabbed her by the waist.

Bouncers gave Houghland the heave-ho, only to have him attempt to get back into the club. After being blocked a second time, Houghland called the cops complaining that he had been assaulted.

The incident could have ended there because Cher declined to press charges. But her would-be dance partner asked to be taken into custody, and Nashville’s Finest obliged. Houghland was jailed overnight and bail was set at $3,000.

Dennis Rodman Beats His Wife

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman pleaded no contest to misdemeanor spousal battery and was ordered to undergo counseling and to perform highway or other physical labor.Rodman was sentenced to a year of domestic violence counseling, three years of probation and 45 days of graffiti removal or road cleanup work for the California Department of Transportation or a similar program in Florida where he lives.Rodman also was warned not to intimidate or use force against his girlfriend, Gina Peterson.

The 47-year-old Rodman was arrested at a Los Angeles hotel in April after Peterson reported that he struck her during an altercation.

Damn…Rodman….looks like this time…you are busted.

Naomi Campbell Admits Assaulting Police in London Airport

British supermodel Naomi Campbell admitted assaulting two police officers as she was ejected from a plane at London’s Heathrow airport in a furious row over lost luggage. The 38-year-old subjected the captain of the British Airways flight and police to a barrage of foul-mouthed abuse, spitting and swearing and accusing them of victimisation because she was black. Campbell, who last year was handed community service and forced to undergo anger management therapy after admitting assaulting her maid in New York, pleaded guilty to six charges in relation to the incident on April 3 this year.

The assault charge carries a maximum six-month prison sentence and a fine of up to 9,900 dollars.

Joan Rivers Isn’t Sorry for Being An Old Bitch

Comedian Joan Rivers has revoked her apology for swearing on live British television on Tuesday.

The outspoken star sparked outrage in the U.K. after she called actor Russell Crowe a “f**king s**t” while speaking to co-hosts of daytime talk show Loose Women.

The flustered presenters immediately apologized for the old bag’s foul language while giggling about the slip-up, but show bosses weren’t quite so light on their guest–they asked Joan to leave the set during the commercial break.

Ms. Rivers issued an apology for her expletives–but has since revoked it, insisting the British public has overreacted.

She says, “Lemme get this straight. Bin Laden’s top man has been released. The price of petrol is through the roof. There’s inflation, depression. And people are hysterical because I said ‘f**k’?
“I was having a great time and everybody was laughing. Then these people–these idiots–came running onto the set and ripped me off my seat and dragged me off.

Hotel sues Phil Spector For $100,000+ In Unpaid Bills

A Los Angeles hotel is suing Phil Spector, his wife and agent for failing to pay more than $100,000 in accommodations for lawyers and expert witnesses in his murder trial.In court papers filed Wednesday, the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites allege the defendants agreed in a written contract to reserve rooms for the duration of the trial. The lawsuit claims that by the time Spector’s trial ended with a hung jury in September, the defendants owed the hotel more than $104,000.The lawsuit alleges fraud, breach of written contract and other charges.

Spector faces a second trial in the murder of actress Lana Clarkson at his home in 2003. The producer is known for his “Wall of Sound” recording technique and for loving the tiny snacks in his mini-bar.
