Minneapolis Church Will Stop Performing Civil Marriage Ceremonies

As long as same-sex marriage is illegal, the Lyndale United Church of Christ, a small liberal congregation outside of Minneapolis will stop performing civil marriage ceremonies.
The church will still hold religious ceremonies to celebrate the unions of straight and same-sex couples, but straight couples must go to a state authority to obtain a marriage license.
