Former Republican Congressman Accused of Fundrasing for Terrorists
Mark Deli Siljander, a Representative from Michigan who has over the years attempted to pass laws banning gay-themed books from public libraries and has tried to block grant money to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence is now accused of working for an alleged terrorist fundraising ring.
The charges state that the Islamic American Relief Agency paied Siljander $50,000 of stolen money to lobby for funds that were sent to an al-Qaida supporter totaling $130,000.
Siljander has been charged with money laundering, conspiracy and obstruction of justice.
