TV Series Airs First Gay Commitment Ceremony
This week’s episode of of the series, Brothers & Sisters will feature a same-sex commitment ceremony between two main characters, a first for any network television program.
Kevin Walker (Matthew Rhys) and long time boyfriend on the show, Scotty Wandell (Luke Macfarlane) will tie the knot in the season finale. Rhys stated that he has even received a fan letter from a mother of a gay son saying she, “took great strength in seeing Kevin interact with his mother, and how little of a problem it is for them.”
The episode will air this Sunday at 10 p.m. on ABC.
